Help!!  We need a few more people on our committee as two of our members are giving up due to other commitments 

We run about seven to eight events during the year and even if you cannot attend all of theses events your help in organising would be gratefully received.  Our committee meets about six times a year and the evenings are very informal.

Unfortunately we have not raised quite as much money this year so we desperately need some new ideas in our fundraising.

Jumble Sales

Once again we had our regular jumble sales and raised just over £400.  Not bad going.

Barn Dance

Not quite as well attended as in previous years but everyone seemed to enjoy themselves.

Carnival

This was very good this year.  We did a tombola and a couple of games.  The tombola ran out of items quite early on so it must have been popular.

Beetle Drive

Again not a great deal of money was raised but everyone enjoyed themselves.

Car Boots

Plenty of bargains again.

Webb Ivory

This has been going quite a few years now.  Once again thanks to Val for organising this.

Christmas Bazaar

Good event – Everyone is in a happy Christmassy mood – looking forward to the festive season and buying Christmas pressies and the children visiting Father Christmas.

New Year’s Eve

An added bonus this year was our Millennium New Year’s Eve night.  This was not run as a fundraising event but as a social evening.  A great time was had by everyone with plenty of food, dancing and good company.  Many thanks to everyone who came and to all the helpers for their hard work.  We are all looking forward to the next Millennium!!!
