Fitness hike 2

On the 22nd of February 2003 3 groups of scouts did around a 10 mile hike back to the scout hut. The hike took a couple of hours and was very muddy. The scouts did this hike so they could get their fitness badge to help get their Chief Scout Award. All of the boys tried really hard and succeeded in getting back, eventually. Out of the red, green and blue teams the red team won. Well done.

ARCHERY WAS CANCELLED, FISHING, BACKWOODS COOKING, WE MADE A CAMPFIRE AND COOKED PIZZAS ON IT. WE ALSO HAD
THE CHANCE TO DO OUR FISHING BADGE AND WE HAD A TALK

Rocknasium

Rocknasium was a great experience and I hope we go there again. Basically it was a big hall with different climbing walls all around the outside wall. The climbing walls were all at different elevations and heights so there was a different wall for everybody. The instructors tried to make it as fun as it could be. At the end we had a competition to see who could get the highest up the steepest climb.

The Leisure Centre

On the 18TH of February 2003 the 1ST Stotfold scout troop went to the north Herts leisure centre in Letchworth for a range of activities. Firstly we all went into the hall and split into to halves, 1 half playing football and the other half playing badminton. It was really fun and everybody enjoyed it.
Then we got onto the swimming pool. Now that was fun. Everybody enjoyed themselves and we all had a great time going down the fun flume. We stayed in the pool so long that we overrun into the ladies swimming which was pretty embarrassing.
All in all everyone had a great time.
