Responsibilities of Duty Patrol Leader
  1. The duty patrol leader should ensure that the flag is prepared before the meeting begins.
  2. The duty patrol leader should ensure that a prayer is prepared for the end of the meeting and that a member of the duty patrol is asked to say the prayer.
  3. When invited by a leader, the duty patrol leader should call the Troop to attention (Troop, Troop alert), break the flag, take three steps back from the flag, stand to attention and salute, and then return to his patrol and stand the Troop easy (Troop, Troop stand easy)
  4. The leader may then invite the duty patrol leader to assist with inspecting the Troop.
  5. The duty patrol leader should prepare a game or activity lasting between ten and fifteen minutes, which will involve the whole troop.
  6. At the end of the meeting, and when invited by a leader, the duty patrol leader should call the Troop to attention, lower the flag, take three steps back and stand to attention, return to their patrol, stand the Troop easy and invite the Troop to “Bow their heads for prayer”, call the Troop to attention, and then dismiss the Troop (Troop, Troop dismissed)
