The secretary is responsible for the
administration of the camp. This means that the Secretary should
perform the following tasks.
Produce the
agenda for meetings. An agenda is a list of topics to be discussed
at a meeting. Click here for a guide on

Take minutes
of meetings. (Minutes are a write up of notes about what was
discussed in the meetings) Click here for a
guide on what should be included in meeting minutes.
Book the
campsite, activities and leaders for the camp.
Before booking the camp make sure that everyone can
make the weekend and that a leader is available. You should also
check the camps page to make sure that we do not have another camp
planned for that weekend.

The Scout hut is now only hired to members of the Scout Group for
the purpose of fundraising events and camps. To book the Scout hut
for a Monday to Friday then contact Peter Cheney 01462 638895. Or to
book the Scout Hut for a Saturday or Sunday then contact Roy Adams
01462 730658.
If you are booking activities
at the Scout hut then you will need to fill out the activity booking
form below.
Write and
distribute letters to all that are taking part in the camp informing
them of all the planned details as well as attaching required forms.
Ensure that relevant forms are filled in and
collected.
When organising a camp the secretary needs to
make sure that the following forms are completed.

canoeing. Complete this form and return it to the Stotfold Scout
