Friday 6th August 2004

Ticketed Activities, Incident hike and closing ceremony.

Description of day here!

We rose early in the morning and distributed all of the activity tickets. We had quite a range of activities including, quad biking, climbing, scuba diving, crystal maze, mountain biking, fire service, and unknown maze.

After the boys had been out on the activities we had lunch. The afternoon activity was an incident hike. The boys didn't fancy doing the incident hike so they just chilled out in the afternoon.

At 4:00pm we started to get ready for the closing ceremony. The boys were asked to wear the camp t-shirt and we then added to this with glow sticks, hair spray, glitter spray and face paints.

We assembled first at the subcamp entrance. We won an award for the best subcamp gateway and a we won a prize for winning the football tournament. We then made our way down to the closing ceremony making lots of noise with the drums we brought with us.

The closing ceremony wasn't too bad. We had some acts to start with, then we had a disco in the main arena. at 10:45pm we had the extinguishing of the Olympic flame followed by a massive firework display while singing the jamboree song.

We let the Scouts stay up until 1am as it was the last night. They eventually got quiet around 1:45am.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF TANNY

CHAPTER 2:THE GUIDES
I decided to sleep on the mats because i felt like it. Then i heard a voice"oi you". "eh" i murmured no one seemed to be looking at me ah well. A few seconds later i heard the voice again "HEY you the yellow shirted guy" i looked around and then i saw a guide hanging over the fence rope stuff. "what" i answered "what you doing". "sleeping why" wierd a random guide just starts to ask me obvious questions then she starts telling me to do stuff" go get your freinds" now things where werid. ok one thing i learnt after a lot of brusies you never say no to a girl it hurts.so i got jacob tom andy and jake then i dozed through the whole conversation.
