The Biggleswade District Scout hikes takes place in the autumn and consist of three categories. Category 1 hike is the full hike for Scouts, carry full pack,with no adults or Explorers accompanying them.

Category 2 hike is for Scouts, carrying full pack, accompanied by a Leader or Explorer walking with them. Category 3 hike is for Scouts walking with Leaders and not carrying full pack.

All the hikes consists of a 12 mile hike on day one and a 6 mile hike on day 2. Completion of the District hike qualifies for the Expedition Challenge.
