Summer Camp 2008 - Silver Cross

Saturday 26th July	We departed at 8:00am and reached Silver Cross at 3:30pm. We received a wondeerful welcome from the camp warden and then set up our camp.	Wednesday 30th July	More rain, but spirits are still high
Sunday 27th July	Patrol cooking, breakfast, lunch and evening meal .... and those meatballs!!	Thursday 31st July	Another very early start for our attempt on Pen-y-fan.
Monday 28th July	An early start and a long ride to Big Pit, a demonstration coal mine.	Friday 1st August	This was due to be our day at the seaside, but the weather was so poor that we decided to go to the caves instead.
Tuesday 29th July	Cooking and gadgets day ... and the start of the wet weather	Saturday 2nd August	Striking camp and returning home

The cost of the camp has been reduced to £180 and full payment should be made by the end of May please.

Silver Cross Campsite is situated just off the A48 between Jct 46 and Jct 47 of the M4. Have a look at the Silver Cross web site to see what our home for the week will be like.
