This
year we joined with the Guides for our Scout Hut Activity camp
and raised £400 for Children in Need.

The Friday evening was an open session to
participate in snooker, table tennis, computer games, playstation,
and various fair ground activities.
Our guest left at 9:00pm to leave us with the
opportunity to carry on playing with all the games. A film followed
and then bed .. at 2:00!! Just to keep the Leaders on their toes,
Josh decided to have a nose bleed just as everyone else fell asleep.
Our breakfast was cooked by a professional chef
... and very good it was. Many thanks Steve for getting up early and
cooking breakfast of 33 Scouts and 4 leaders before heading off to
work.
The Guides arrived about midday and we drew six
Scouts out of a hat to make the Guides lunch and six Guides to make
the Scouts lunch. After a tasty lunch in The Mossman Centre we all
headed off for a walk around the Radwell Circular route.
Back to the Scout Hut after lots of fresh air to
more games and a chance to practice fire lighting.
Take a tour of the Scout Hut to see what was going on (small

At 6:30pm we adjourned to The Mossman Centre for
the annual Chip Shop Challenge. Chips were purchased from the four
Stotfold Chip Shop and the verdict of Stotfold Scouts and Guides is
first place to UK Fried Chicken, then Pekin Chinese Take Away, Vegas
and Charles'.
After a quiz, which the ladies won, we went back
to the Scout Hut for games, film and bed. I am glad to say that
everyone was asleep by midnight.
Once again Steve came and cooked out breakfast on
Sunday morning, which gave us lots of energy to strike camp and
clear up by 2:30 in the afternoon when the camp finished.
A very enjoyable weekend. Many thanks to Steve for
cooking, all the leaders, and the Scouts and Guides. |
