Winter Camp 2003 - Friday Report
Winter Camp

Well it has been all go from 9.00am this morning, setting up for this years winter camp 2003. Myself (Charles) and Andrew picked up the van and loaded it up in the morning. After finishing the paperwork and dropping off details to our home contact, we headed off to gilwell

When we got to Gilwell we picked our spot, right near the entrance and found a muddy spot (but then everywhere is muddy). We thought everything was going well until we decided to put up the large mess tent and found that we were missing the parts to join all the poles together. So we put up the boys tents and the missing parts came along with the Scouts.

The Scouts arrived and we put up the mess tent and the Scouts sorted their tents. I issued out all of the wrist bands and explained the rules and programme for the weekend. The Scouts were able to explore the site and there was a disco on all evening. Scouts went to bed at 12:15am.

We are not sure on the full weather forcast for the weekend, but it is currently begining to freeze. Hopefully it wont rain, but there are plenty of activities for all sorts of weather. No problems so far.
