This years Scout Hut Activity Camp was bigger
and better than last years.
The weekend started
with the Children in need games night which ran from 7pm to 9:30pm.
Before watching the evening film
we had a chip shop challenge, where we purchased 10 portions
from each of the 3 chip shops in Stotfold and voted for the best
tasting chips. For those of you that are interested to rankings
were as follows.
- Pacific
- Charlie's
- Vegas

We then had a quick rearrange of the Scout Hut and
then had a film in the evening (Finding Nemo DVD).
As we did last year, we had a film in the
morning as well, while we are getting up and having breakfast. This
was cut short with the start of the excellent England v's Australia
Rugby match. We managed to hook up the TV to the projector and had
all 28 Scouts watching the game.
The Saturday was a chance for Scouts to do some of
the work needed for their outdoor challenge as well as an
opportunity for Scouts to get their IT staged badges. We will also
had all of the equipment set up in the Scout hut from the games
night.
In the evening we had a wide game in the woods. We
then had a film which was voted for by the Scouts on this website
(see below). The winning film was Charlies Angels 2.
On Sunday we ran some first aid sessions for those
doing the outdoor challenge as well as finishing the IT badge.
Sunday was the Soap Box derby. This had to be
cancelled due to the bad weather, but anybody groups that turned up
were able to use the extensive range of activities available in the
hut.
