District Scouts Pathfinder and Challenge Hikes 2000

21st and 22nd of October 2000

The Pathfinder and Challenge hike are hikes run by our district. 

Congratulations to the boys that took part in this event. Stotfold took 2nd place in the Pathfinder hike and 3rd place in the Challenge hike.

All of the boys that took part went home with a smile on there faces, which is always a good sign that they enjoyed themselves.

Pathfinder Hike

The Pathfinder hike is run for boys aged 10 to 13.

On the first day the boys walk a distance of 12 miles carrying there rucksacks containing all of the equipment for the weekend. 

On the second day they walk around 8 miles for a speed hike without carrying there equipment.

Challenge Hike

The Challenge Hike is run for boys aged 13 to 15.

On the first day the the boys walk a distance of 18 miles carrying there rucksacks containing all of the equipment for the weekend.

On the second day they walk around 8 miles for a speed hike, again carrying all of there equipment used over the weekend.
