Take a look at
the video that the Tuesday night troop produced on energy saving.
Take a look at the following link for lots of energy
saving tips.
http://www.think-energy.com/
1.
Over a week, make a list of everything that your family throws
away. Highlight items which could have been re-used or recycled.
2.
Find out about local facilities for recycling (cans, bottles,
newspapers etc.) and encourage your family and friends to use them.
3.
Find out how families can save energy in their homes.
4.
Use an original and eye-catching method to inform others about
the importance of saving energy and resources. For example, you could
design a poster or collage, produce a photographic display or a short
video, compose a song or poem or make a model out of recycled
material.
5.
Look for and record evidence of wildlife in your garden or a
local park.
6.
Be aware of some of the effects gardeners can have on local
wildlife, e.g. using chemicals to kill pests and find out about
alternatives.
7.
Find out about a local group or organisation which works for
conservation.
8.
With others, follow a nature trail (there may be one at your
local camp site), visit a country park or take part in a local
conservation project.
