On the 11th September 2005, a group
of Scouts and leaders headed into London to have a trip on the London Eye and attend the
BBC Family Prom in the Park.
Here is a report from two of the
Scouts on the journey home.
Today we went to London, it was fun.
We first all started at Hitchin station - Ashley forgot his
neckerchief.
We took the train down to London’s kings cross. We then took another
train to Leicester square.
We took a walk down the Thames to the
London Eye. We then had lunch in the park and all the pigeons came
to eat our lunch so I ran making funny faces to get them away.
After going to the play area, we went on the London Eye and enjoyed this trip. We then walked all the way to Buckingham Palace
and took some pictures and saw the changing of the guards.
We then
walked to Hyde Park and me and Ashley got some whistles and was
annoying Paul :):).
Then the show started with the orchestra. All of the bands were
brilliant. I left my bag at the toilets but luckily Adam picked it
up. We then walked down Oxford Street and got the train home and I
am writing this on the train home.
We all enjoyed it but we kept on asking for the cricket to be on at
Hyde Park.
