JOTT - The Jamboree On The Trail

On Saturday 9th May, Stotfold Scouts set off and travelled by train to London. It happened to be the same day that Stevenage were playing in the FA Trophy at Wembley ... so the train was packed!

Every hour, on the hour (well almost), we made a live transmission from Graham's mobile phone to the Internet. Have a look at what we transmitted. We also have a Twitter page for JOTT

Our walk for JOTT was along the River Thames, crossing every time we came to a bridge. The beginning of the walk started at Westminster Bridge. Lots was going on by the Embarkment ... we were obviously fortunate not to be exterminated!

Hungerford railway bridge provided us with two bridges as there is a walkway each side of the railway.

Then it was onto Waterloo Bridge

and Blackfriars Bridge. Followed by a well earned rest and lunch on the grass in front of the Tate Modern.

When we reached the Millenium Bridge, we crossed in step and in one line to see if we could get the bridge to "wobble" ... we counldn't!

Southwark Bridge followed by London Bridge and then a walk along the river to the Tower of London and an ice cream.

Our last bridge, the fantastic Tower Bridge and the end of our JOTT walk.

But the trip to London was not over as we walked down to HMS Belfast to find out what a second world war battleship was like.
