 As part of our Global Challenge we invited Barbara from The Haven in Stevenage to come and talk to us.
The Haven is a place where single homeless people can go for shelter and care.
 Barbara told us that anyone of us could become homeless in certain circumstances. She told us about two people who experienced terrible incidents in their lives which meant they could not cope with normal day to day living. They lost their livelihoods, their loved ones and their homes.
The Haven was able to offer them a place to stay and care to get them back on their feet and move into their own accommodation. |
The evening did not start too well as the computer would not talk to the projector. After Mark and then Nick fiddled with it and nodded and shook their heads ... it was Mark who rode in on his white charger with another laptop which save the day. Be Prepared!
