To complete the Fitness Challenge the Scout needs to choose a physical challenge and train for it.
We attempted the Fitness Challenge in 2003 and 2008.
In 2003 we ran fitness sessions in the Scout Hut at the beginning of each meeting and then planned and walked four fitness hikes.
In 2008 we again ran fitness sessions at the beginning of meetings and planned a cycling and walking fitness activity. The cycling was a 40 km cycle ride around Bedfordshire and the walk was a hike up Pen-y-fan in the Breacon Beacons. |
