After the success of the pioneering at Boyd Field for the Pioneering activity badge, the Troop Forum decided to plan two more pioneering activities for the summer programme. These would take place in the Scout Hut and involve using cane and string.
The first activity was to construct a device which would be able to burst a balloon stuck to the roof beam. The Scouts had to stand 10m from the balloons. Several designs were tried ... some a complete better than other!!
The second mini-pioneering project was to build a device to propel a ball as far as possible.
