Stotfold Scouts are attempting the Master at Arms badge for the first time. We are going to specialise in air rifle shooting and eight Scouts have been chosen to attend a six week shooting course at the Scout Hut.
At the first meeting the Scouts were made award of all the safety rules and then started to shoot.
This session concentrated on grouping shots on the target and not on the actual score.
During the second session we concentrated on firing position and spent the whole time practicing shooting from the prone position
The thrid and fourth weeks and the Scouts are starting to get most of their shots into a concentrated pattern.
The fifth week tried to get all five shots within a 2p or 10p coin. Some of us came close.
The last week was a competition to see how much each of the Scouts had improved over the six weeks. I'm please to say that everyone had ... so they all got the Master at Arms Activity badge.
