This week both troops met for three hours during half term and participated in the Ridgway Sumo Wrestling Championship. The Scouts could enter for the Fly-weight or Heavy-weight championship with the cut off weight limit for the Fly-weights championship being 46 Kilograms (7stone 4lbs).

Everyone could enter the Open Sumo Wrestling Championship, including the Leaders and Helpers. Those eliminated in the first two rounds of the Open could enter the "Plate" competition.

After three hours of straining, stouting, screaming, stomping and groaning the following winner emurged
