We went Karting at Super Karts in Letchworth on
the night of 12th February 2002. We had 35 Scouts that raced in teams of 6
in 15min races. Below you can view some photos of the evening as
well as some short reports that some of the Scouts wrote.
We had a quiz at karting to occupy some of the
time. View the quiz, answers and the 10 highest
scores.

All of the Scouts started off with
a safety briefing.

A view of the 550 metre track with
it's two hairpins and the ‘s’ bend.

Under starters orders. The karts
are run on Zip and Biz chassis and are powered by Honda GX160 and
GX120 engines and can reach speeds of up to 55mph.

Below are reports written by some of the Scouts
on the Night.

We are going to Superkarts in Letchworth. The
karting was really fun and when you go round the corners it feels
like your gonna topple over! You can go really fast. Karting is
AWESOME! It sometime is painful when you go round the corners at
high speed because you smash into the barriers!
