During the summer break of 2009 two additional buildings were added to the Scout Hut, a portacabin and a storage lockup.
Both were refurbished and decorated along with the Scout Hut kitchen and hall. All the work was carried out by Lawrence. |
First of all the outside of the portacabin was sanded down, repaired and then painted.

Next to be tackled was the inside. This required lots of repairs and an internal wall removed. Once again all the surfaces, including the floor, were painted.

A metal lockable store was placed behind the portacabin. This building needed its roof water proofed and the side painted. The final touch was painting the door our neckchief colours of green and yellow. |
The Endersby Porch was erected in 19xx and was showing some signs of age. Some of the woodwork, which was rotten, was replaced along with the felt roof. Again a couple of coats of paint and an intricate re-painting of the wooden neckerchief completed the job.

The kitchen in the Scout Hut was becoming a little dull and dirty, so a good clean and re-paint has ensured a much healthier environment.
