Sunday 23rd April 2006
70 Stotfold Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorers
attended this new event to celebrate the patron saint of England and
Scouting, St George.
We congregated at the King's Baptist
Church, Stotfold for a service. The colours were received at the
beginning of the service. The service involved the members with
songs, plays and prayer around the theme of promises. We also
renewed our promise during the service. After this the colours were
collected and we began our march to the the Stotfold Scout Hut.
On arrival we separated into sections
and took part in parachute games, tug of war, sack races, slippery
pole, face painting and hockey. A BBQ with burgers and drinks were
provided at the end of the afternoon.
A very enjoyable day that we will
surely run again.
