The parade started with some investitures in the
Scout Troop. Six boys were invested in the rain with the shelter of a
very bare tree.
Everyone assembled around the war memorial and
started with the laying of the wreaths. Just as the 'last post' was
played on the trumpet, the heavens opened and we all got very wet.
It was decided that we would walk a shorter route to
get to the surprisingly warm church. It was a nice service, after
which we headed home to dry off.
Thanks to everyone that took part. You were all a
credit to the group. Grad to see smiling faces despite the fact that
everyone was soaked.
