Almost 50 Beavers and Cubs and 12 adults boarded a coach at 8.00am on Sunday 22nd June to travel to Gilwell Park Activity Centre in Chingford. 

This is an annual event which takes place on both the Saturday and Sunday and Beavers and Cubs from all over the country attend.  Approximately 3,000 – 4,000 young people attend each day so it is very busy.  We were very lucky with the weather as they had apparently had quite a lot of rain on the Saturday. 

We pitch a tent and then get going on taking part in as many activities as possible.  We all meet up at the tent for lunch and then are off again for yet more activities.  The list is endless and varied and we all managed to do something different. 

We arrived home at about 6.00pm very tired but having had yet another great day at Gilwell.
