The Magic of Gilwell

Sunday morning 19 June, 7.45am, 68 beavers, cubs and leaders arrive at the Scout Hut for the annual trip to the Fun Day at Gilwell Park.

We all board the coach and set off. An hour later we arrive and find a spot to pitch the tent to hold all our belongings.

The cubs and beavers are excited about the day’s activities. We split into groups and are off at a run.

The boys experience, Aerial runways, waterslides, grass carts, abseiling, climbing walls, funfair rides, simulators, rafting, bouncy castles, trampolines, archery and lot more.

During the afternoon we watched a magic show performed by a young magician. It was amazing.

Tired, weary (the leaders) and happy we board the coach for the journey home.

A fantastic day was enjoyed by everyone. We look forward to next year.
