On a sunny April Sunday we travelled to Windsor and arrived at the Irish Guard barracks about 9:30 in the morning. We were then drilled for a couple of hours in the art of marching! Isn't it wonderful to have the Chief Scout himself in our family photogrpah. |

Marching practice over and a welcome rest for lunch in a local park.

Onto Winsdor Castle where I met with all the other Queen Scouts while my family queued up for entry into the main castle quadrangle.

After the presentation of the colours, the Chief Scout and the Queen's Representative inspected all the Queen Scouts. When this was complete, we marched off round the quadrangle behind the Coldstream Guard Band.

We paraded out of the quadrangle, throught the castle and into St George's Chapel for a service. All the visitors sat outside on the grass and listened to the service through loud speakers.

... and finally a sit down and some food. What a wonderful and memorable day.
