Queen Scout Award

Queen ScoutLawrence received his Queen Scout Award from John Duley, the Bedfordshire County Commissioner at the Stotfold Gorup AGM on Friday 16th May 2008.

Here is Lawrence's presentation of the work he carried out to gain his award.

This is the highest award in Scouting ... well done Lawrence. Have a look on Scoutbase for the requirements for the Queen Scout Award

Lawrence dedicated his Queen Scout award to all the Beaver, Cub, Scout and Explorer leaders who helped and "put up with him" since he joined the Scouting movement at the age of 6.
Lawrence then got a very special presentation at the next Explorers meeting.

In October Lawrence was invited to London Zoo to be presented with his Queen Scout award by Peter Duncan, The Chief Scout.

See how he got on.

Finally, Lawrence was invited to the St George's Day Parade at Windsor Castle. Once again the Chief Scout was there and joined in Lawrence's family photo!

Over two hundred Queen Scouts who were awarded in 2008 attended the parade. Lawrence was instructed how to march at the Irish Guards barracks and then put it into practice in the afternoon by marching into the main quadrangle of the castle.

See how he got on at the 2009 St George's Day Parade.
