Gilwell 24
Dawn and Sammy here; We are explorer scouts from Upper Caldecote (near Biggleswade.)
Stotfold were prepared to take me and Sammy to Gilwell 24:a full packed 24 hours of activities! !Lets just say I don’t quite think they knew what they were letting themselves in for!!
All the explorers and both leaders made us feel very welcome!! Thankyou!!
Over the weekend there were so many activities to participate in from the fair ground rides, climbing, zip wire, simulator, quasar to the cinema and campfire (which was at 3.OOam!!) these to only mention a few! !Explorers were also given the chance to watch the sun set/rise! (But it was unfortunately very cloudy.)
There were also many, many more extra activities to do like craft: make
beaded bracelets and making rope (of many different colours!) There was also the chance to go swimming in the outdoor pool and go on the slippery, soapy, wet slide down the quick.
We had a great time!! and managed to stay up for a staggering 36 hours over the whole weekend! ! (Hardcore!!)
