Hockey Tournament - 2005

Monday 10th January 2005

First meeting of the New Year and after a short welcome and run through the term’s programme it was down to some serious fun.

The Scout HQ was transformed into a hockey pitch, 5 teams were drawn up, and names decided on, then it was straight in to the mayhem.

Rules:

  • 3 Cubs per side.
  • 3 minutes per game.
  • Sticks below shoulder height.
  • Try to hit the puck and not each other.
  • Referee’s decision is final.

Drinks and Biscuits at half time.

Begin!!

Well it should have been 10 by 3 minute games- plenty of time, but this is a cub meeting so things didn’t quite go to the plan. All but one of the games were played (apologies to the two teams that missed out on one game)

Judging by the noise an enjoyable time was being had by the spectators. Judging by the effort on the field of play everyone wanted to win.

The results of our mini league are shown below:

Note Chelseapool vs Picalilly was not played (error in score keeping)

Therefore these two teams could swap positions in the league
