It was a wet November day. Undeterred 8 Chickasaw
Beavers Scouts, accompanied by 3 leaders and 2 helpers went to see
the new Lord Mayor's inauguration, and the parade of thousands that
helped him celebrate.
There were marching bands, acrobats, jugglers,
cheer leaders, people in fancy dress, period costumes, hundreds of
horses, the army, navy and air force, together with guns, tanks,
missiles, airplanes, double Decker buses, vintage cars, and lots of
umbrellas. Cheering them were many thousands of people, waving,
cheering and generally having a good time.
After, we ate our lunch in Trafalgar Square, fed pigeons,
walked down Whitehall, then home. |
