It was the first time I had taken my beaver group
to Rowney Warren and I was a little worried about how it would turn
out. I had no need to worry as it was fantastic.
When all the beavers and parent helpers had arrived we explained
that we would be hunting for 4 ducks. Jack, Matthew, Jane and Hilary
were the lucky volunteers.
We set off in groups to find the 4 ducks (Donald, Daffy, Luey and
Huey) that were hiding in the woods. Each group had to find them in
a different order. The beavers decided it was more fun to run so the
adults had an exhausting evening trying to keep up with the beavers.
The ducks had the easy time. There was lots of whistle blowing from
the ducks and lots of screaming from the boys. Not all the ducks
were found by everyone.
A final loud whistle signalled the end of the game and there was
just time for a biscuit and a drink before it was off home.
It was a great evening thoroughly enjoyed by everyone. |
