Cherokee Cub Pack took 1st prize in the District Cub Challenge Hike on Saturday 7th October 2000.

This event is organized by the District and many cub packs from around the district take part. This year a total of 10 packs took part.

The hike consists of taking a group of 6 of the older cubs round on a hike where they stop at different points along the way to take part in different marked activities.

This year the Cubs had to answer questions on subjects like Water Safety, Tracking Signs, Road Signs, Scouting History and what equipment would be suitable for a hike.

Well done to the Six Cubs that took part which were Daniel, Jamie, Calum, Josh, Colin and Ben.
