Cherokee Cubs visited Boyd Field in the gathering autumn gloom for backwoods cooking. After the fire had been lit and allowed to burn down to embers, the Cubs started to cook sausages. The old favourite of "chocolate banana" was tried and a newer initiative of cooking egg in a hollowed out orange.
This was successful, but only after some experimentation. Initially the gases produced in the orange forced the egg out of the orange and into the fire. A strategically placed peg allowed the gases out and produced a uniquely tasting egg!
