On 15th February
2003, both the Stotfold Beaver colony's (Cheyenne and Chickasaw) went on a trip to the National Space
Centre at Leicester.
All of the Beavers
had a great time with lots of Space activities to take part in and
lots of areas to explore. At 12:30 we all watched a space show about
the SETI project in the large dome theatre.
For more
information on The International Space Centre, take a look at their
website at

We travelled by
coach.

We were able to
learn about space rockets and satellites as we travelled up the side
of the 2 space rockets.

Lots of hands on
activities were available for the Beavers to learn from.

We tried to lose
some of the Beavers in this black hole.

Even at Beaver age,
they are carrying the world on their shoulders.

Have a go at
weather reporting.

Unfortunately the
Beavers were not quite tall enough to see all of themselves in the
video. But Daniel our Explorer helper demonstrated how it should be
done.

Beavers got a
chance to spend some money in the Cargo Bay shop.

Here you can see
the large building holding the space rockets.
